Technical/design surveys at the Customer’s headquarter: confirming the current situation of the analyzed machines and plants, followed by a definition of the priority actions.
Engineering Review to design the required safety measures
The Engineering Review’s phase involves the design of those safety functions that in a previous Assessment phase have been identified as missing and necessary for an adequate level of safety for the analyzed machine.
For the moderation or creation and checking of the technical specifications, the risk reduction measures must be clearly and unambiguously defined in a risk Assessment.
In order to provide verification in relation to SIL/PL, the required informations must be specified in the technical specifications. The Digital Safety Solutions’ services are completely indipendent in each of the five proposed steps, it’s not strictly essential to ask our support for the Assessment step.
We can also refer to safety analyzes made by the client, therefore we will critically evaluate the shared reports during our activities. Based on your requirements, the Engineering Review will support you during the creation, testing, and release of the hardware and software specifics for your technical safety equipment/safety functions identified during the Assessment phase.
Performances description:
Identification and designing the required technical solutions: detailed selection of the safety hardware and software needed to meet the standars.
Technical reports with a detailed description of the solutions: indication of the security level (PL or SIL) reached by the different safety functions with a list of suitable components.
Specific indication of the costs for the following safety step (the Remediation): sharing the costs to be incurred to proceed with the supply and installation of the necessary security devices and components.
